Registering for: Dignitary Protection


Description 

This 40-hour course provides instruction on developing and implementing a dignitary security protection plan or participating as a member of a protection detail. Curriculum addresses such issues as: identifying threats; organizing and operating a motorcade; providing in-transit and site security; and identifying individual team member responsibilities. Instruction includes both classroom lecture and field exercises. Students will plan, conduct and participate in a roleplay of a motorcade scenario at the conclusion of the course. This course provides updated legislative content of Penal Code Section 835a.

This course provides the students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to plan operations involving the protection of dignitaries, e.g., public officials or other ““high profile”” persons, and/or to participate as a member in a dignitary security detail.

COST:

This is a POST N/A reimbursable course, although students will receive 40 hours of POST CPT credit. Tuition is $600.00 per student.
